Our app gives you a new reading material whenever you click the button on top. It will be interesting, engaging and bite-sized. Your goal is to understand the passage given. Try to guess the meaning of the unfamiliar words in the passage from the context. In Advanced Mode you will get a more complex passage.

Our app will pick some words from the passage and will ask you whether you know/guessed the meaning. By challenging your knowledge immediately, more context is added in your mind. Whether you get it right or not, at the end of this evaluation you would have learned a new word.

Either you know the meaning of the word already or you think you have understood the meaning from the context. In any case, answer a question to check your understanding. If you get it right, your understanding is validated. If not, you get additional context (by learning how the right meaning makes more sense in the given passage).

You don't have to give up. You will be given additional sentences to guess the meaning again. Most probably you will be able to guess the meaning now. Time to test the knowledge again. Answer a question and see whether you are right.

Irrespective of whether you got the meaning right or not, you will be shown a dictionary meaning of the word and some additional details to give more context to the word and it's usage. You will be getting the same word in different context again in later sessions. Keep getting it right again and again, at no time you will be able to master it. You Master a word when you get the word right at first try multiple times when you encounter the word again later in a different passage.

After you learn the word, you will get more challenging questions when you encounter the word again. Keep getting it right again and again, at no time you will be able to grok it. You Grok a word when you get the word right at first try multiple times in later encounters and prove beyond doubt that you've truly grokked the word.
